My approach to wedding photography

I regard each wedding as unique. Just as no two people are identical, each wedding will have a different narrative. Some weddings are as much about the couple as a daughter farwelling her father. Other weddings are about rebelling against traditional values whilst others are about a bride finally getting her man to commit.
Whatever the theme, my unobtrusive coverage will allow the wedding to flow uninterrupted and my photography will not be staged.
Wedding photography can often be a choice between photojournalism and staged posing. But it doesn’t have to be this way. My wedding photography is about candid shots which capture real emotion in a beautiful way by fully appreciating available light, supplementing it where necessary.

Wedding Packages

Diamond Package

The Diamond Package is our most popular choice and you won’t be disappointed. The Diamond Package comprises photography at the church service (1 hour) and at the function afterwards 2.5 hours). Also included is a 50-sided (25 pages) deluxe book which is 15 inches x 11 inches.
If you would like more pages in your book, they may be purchased at $30 per side (a page has two sides). Additional books may also be ordered for your family. Custom slipcovers may also be purchased.

Platinum Package

The Platinum Package is the most lavish book. This really is a christening book that will be cherished. The Platinum Package comprises photography at the church service (1.5 hours) and at the function afterwards (3.5 hours).
Also included is a 70-sided (35 pages) deluxe book which is 15 inches x 11 inches. The book comes with its own slipcover. Additional books may also be ordered for your family.

A Bride's testimonial sums up my style

“images that we will cherish for ever”

John Slaytor was recommended to us by friends from England. We were looking for someone local with an eye for detail; someone with the ability to capture those special, candid moments at our wedding without needing to spend hours posing. John was perfect for the job.

He moved effortlessly through the crowd, almost invisible, snapping away through the ceremony and reception. He caught everything – raucous laughter, a tear here, a toast there – the result being literally hundreds of gorgeous, natural images that we will cherish for ever.
He has a real talent for capturing human emotion. We will be asking him to shoot all our life’s big events.. We are thrilled.. Kind regards, Susie
